Helping Patients Understand Their Medicine

Some people take medication to ease symptoms like pain or inflammation, to counteract a deficiency, or prevent or control a chronic condition. But taking medication can often be confusing.

Our pharmacy team helps patients understand their medicines, how to take them, and inform them of any drug interactions or side effects. For patients taking multiple medications, it’s especially important to ensure proper dosage.

Our Pharmacy Services

Our pharmacy team does more than give advice on medications. Want to quit smoking? Need advice on how to use your inhaler? We can help and there is no cost to you.

Consultation & Advice

The pharmacist will meet with you to make sure that you are receiving the best medications, address your questions or concerns, and make sure you understand the benefits and risks of taking them.
For most patients, the first step is a comprehensive medication review.

Comprehensive Medication Reviews

Our pharmacists help reduce the risk of drug interactions, change or eliminate medications to simplify your regimen and make taking them easier, and address untreated symptoms. We will review all prescribed medication, plus vitamins, supplements, herbs and over the counter drugs.

Hospital Discharge Program

If you’ve had a recent hospital stay, we provide in-home consultation to review medications prescribed during your hospital visit.

Tobacco Reduction and Cessation Counselling

Looking to quit smoking or reduce your tobacco consumption? Our pharmacists will give you strategies, aids and support to help you kick the habit! We’ll develop a plan that works for you through one-on-one sessions or, you can join one of our QuitCore group sessions where you’ll explore strategies to manage withdrawal, handle stress and prevent relapses in a supportive, NO-PRESSURE environment.
