Project Management Lead

Permanent Full-Time 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours/week)

Salary Range: CA$42.00 – CA$53.44 per hour

The Project Management Lead is an organizational support role responsible for advancing organization wide improvement and change initiatives across the Edmonton O-day’ min Primary Care Network (PCN).

Reporting to the Program Manager, this role partners with Program Managers, Directors, and interdisciplinary teams to support the planning, execution, and sustainment of strategic and operational initiatives.

The Project Management Lead provides expertise in quality improvement, project delivery, and change management, ensuring initiatives are well-defined, data-informed, and effectively implemented.

This position requires a skilled facilitator committed to collaboration, system efficiency, and improved patient outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Lead and support complex, cross-functional improvement and change initiatives
  • Partner with Program Managers and Directors to define problem statements, scope, objectives, and success measures
  • Apply structured improvement methodologies (PDSA, EPIQ, Lean Six Sigma–DMAIC, ADKAR, ARECCI)
  • Support the development and execution of project charters, workplans, timelines, and governance structures
  • Monitor project progress and support teams in identifying and addressing risks and barriers
  • Integrate change management principles to support stakeholder engagement, adoption, and sustainment
  • Facilitate planning sessions, working groups, and decision-making forums
  • Guide teams through root cause analysis, process mapping, and prioritization activities
  • Partner with Evaluation and Data teams to define meaningful measures and interpret results
  • Translate data into actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to staff and leaders on quality improvement, project management, and change leadership
  • Develop and deliver training, tools, and resources
  • Promote consistency in improvement approaches across programs
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross-program collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, Nursing, Business, Health Administration, or a related field (required)
  • Master’s degree (e.g., MHA, MBA, MSc) considered an asset

Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (required) or equivalent (e.g., IHI QI certification)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
  • Change management certification (e.g., PROSCI ADKAR) considered an asset

Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in quality improvement, healthcare transformation, project management, or related roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Experience working with senior leadership and facilitating strategic discussions
